            Yep, defering it is fine. We're not certifying Tomcat 7 for Swift.

            FYI this also occurs on Tomcat 6.0.33 (and possibly earlier patchlevels > 6.0.29) - it's not just limited to Tomcat 7.

            The HTML5 multi-file uploader dialog has now been merged to Odin (4.1)
            See SVN rev 34152 for more details. This and the HTML5 DnD is the solution going forward.

            We will no longer recommend the Flash uploader expect for non-HTML5 IE browsers - which will need to disable the secure cookies feature on Tomcat 6.0.33+ and Tomcat 7.0.0+.

            Workaround:

            1- Edit "webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/templates/webscripts/org/alfresco/repository/upload/upload.post.desc.xml" or the corresponding file in the war or in the project tree.
            2- Add an additional url XML entry like: <url>/api/upload;jsessionid

            {jsessionid}

            </url>
            3- Reload your webscripts or alfresco

            Tomcat, at least in 6.0.35 does honour the JSESSIONID, but it just doesn't remove it (https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=51833) due to servlet specification compliancse.

            On TomCat 7 you will also need to disable secure cookies feature for the Flash Uploader to work:

            tomcat/conf/context.xml
            <Context useHttpOnly="false">
            ...
            </Context>

            is there an expectation of when Tomcat 7 is the standard for Alfresco 4.0 above for the supported stack?

            This assumes that the last entries on 1-March is the primary issue and blocker.

            Does your html5 multi-file uploader work with Internet Explorer (pre version 10)? Does it fall back to the flash uploader?

            I'm worried from version 4.1, Alfresco will lose the ability for Internet Explorer users to upload multiple files simultaneously.
