      Description

After installing the latest build of alfresco community edition 3.2 2037 its not possible to access the netbios share.
Also after editing the registy based on teh prefered values in the release notes nothing happens.
Same after editing the File-servers.xml or the responding propertie file. The share is not accessable it seems like the
CIFS server can not run at all.

Others are using CIFS successfully on3.2

And its no longer necessary to edit file-servers.xml on 3.2.

          To "preacc"

It's not clear which part of the registry you're referring to. Did you see these notes on the wiki?

Sure - i added the smb2 key on the registry (with 0) and also i changed TransportBindName to empty the value. Also i changed this value to "SMBDeviceEnabled"=dword:00000000. The firewall is in general off.
After each change i restarted the server.

I checked this behavior on two windows 2008 server (german/english) both showing the same problem.
The normal shares working as needed. But the Alfresco share is not visible. Not even when you try to see them via net view
          server.

As i mentioned above - it seems like the CIFs server is not running at all (binded).

Yes i also checked the file-servers.xml.properties ->its on and all parameters are fine.
After this i also tried to modify the file-servers-custom.xml but the same issue.

You should not be touching the file-servers-custom.xml file on 3.2 since it is obsolete.

Please read this wiki page http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/File_Server_Subsystem

Then either confirm whether it works or post your failing configuration.
