When setting up clustered nodes fault-tolerant, i.e. no session is lost in case one node is off, the other one continue processing the last user request without even prompting the login page.
The request of this JIRA is to add by default the tag <distributable /> in tomcat/alfresco/share web.xml files so customers avoid doing it themselves in case they want to activate session replication in tomcat.
The tag does not have any effect in case the session replication is disabled.
No steps to reproduce.
Tag <distributable /> is missing in web.xml and customer have to create it manually.
Tag <distributable /> is delivered in default web.xml, having no impact if no clustering and session replication is used.
Reviewed parameter def and it loks like it is allowed for any web application for session replication:
Quote: "It is safe to use in a single JVM, but of course you won't be able to properly test your clustering, because there won't be any other members in the cluster to distribute the session to. "
