      Description

      Description

      The customer uses app:filelink and app:folderlink to create "symbolic" links to files in Share. These work fine but are not visible if they access the content through the Alfresco Outlook Client. They would like to see support for these types in the client, either as softlink-style (jumps in the tree to the cm:destination) or hardlink-style (opens the folder / file as if the cm:destination was there)

      Steps to reproduce

      !These steps assume outlook client and alfresco are already configured

      1 Edit ../tomcat/webapps/share/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/form-config.xml

      2 change line 45 from

      <type name="noderef" template="/org/alfresco/components/form/controls/readonly.ftl" />

      to

      <type name="noderef" template="/org/alfresco/components/form/controls/textfield.ftl" />

      3 Restart alfresco and log into Share

      4 Create a site and then create folders LinkRoot and Links under the site document library

      5 Add a folder called Folder1 under LinkRoot and copy the NodeRef

      6 Add content called Doc1 under LinkRoot and copy the NodeRef

      7 Go into the Links folder and click on Create > Plain Text file

      8 Change the end of the URL after &itemId= from

      &itemId=cm:content&mimeType=text/plain

      to

      &itemId=app:filelink

      then hit Return

      9 Enter LinkDoc1 as the Name and the NodeRef value as the Link Destination

      10 Using the NodeRef for Folder1, repeat steps 7-9 changing app:filelink to app:folderlink in step 8

      11 Open the outlook client and browse to the site. Expand the document library to see the LinkRoot and Links folders. Expand LinkRoot to see the file and folder the links were created against. Expand Links and no content will be returned.

      Expected Behaviour

      The expectation is to see the content (links) in the folder

      Observed Behaviour

      Nothing is visible

      Analysis to date

      Tested against the latest release of the client (version 2.1.0 (B: 590)) with Alfresco 5.1.0.6
