      Description

      Summary
At the moment, APS stores all possible content on the file system, as configured by setting the property

      contentstorage.fs.rootFolder

in activiti-app.properties. Fiels that are stored there normally are stencils, process/task attachments and IDM sync log files. Customer would like to configure, to store content in the database instead of using the file system.

      Steps to reproduce
      N/A

      Desired behaviour
Customer would like to configure, to store APS content in the database instead of using the file system.

      Business case
As customer is linking/attaching process documents only from ACS and is publishing newly uploaded content only to ACS, they do not need to store heavy documents on the file system. With the complexity and requirements to have a shared drive for content storage in a cluster and knowing that not all cloud solutions offer something as comfortable as S3, the would like to configure APS to store content in the database instead of storing it on the file system.
