      Description

Document nodes filed as records using RM Java APIs progressively takes longer and longer to complete.

We see that in a repository with little to no prior records, the filing speed start off at ~100ms. As more records get filed, the time it take to file steadily increases to about ~2200ms when we get to 3000 records.

      Is this to be expected?

We see a similar progressive slowdown even when above transformations are batched, albeit the mean speed for each record is faster than without batching.

We tried pausing filing for about 2 hours after the 2687th record to see if slow down is due to asynchronous processes not being able to keep up. We see no increase in speed after resuming from the pause.

      Steps to Recreate

Create a number of nodes. In local test case we created sets of 200.

      1. Use REST API to declare nodes as records. In test case we used script to loop through and process 200 per batch
      Observed behavior
      1. With each batch, time to declare took longer and longer
      2. Noticed with batch of 200, 200 addition IPR groups were created.

This is consistent with what was detected and fixed in MNT-21585

      Expected Behavior

Performance should not degrade as more records are declared
