[ Problem ]
The age-old issue with the flash uploader reported in http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-1044 strikes again.
Based on some investigations and looking at a customers packet trace I'm seeing that the Flash uploader not forwarding the session cookieswhen a reverse proxy is being used, see:
In this specific case the Flash uploader (FileReference.upload()) does not copy the cookies to the POST request. As the customer is using sticky sessions based on cookies the upload fails when the request hits the wrong share server (as they have two share servers it fails about 50% of the uploads).
[ Question ]
In Flash 10.x there is a new method called FileReference.load() that in combination with a newer YUI version should be able to manage cookies in the flash upload POST.
I am not able to test this but was wondering whether the above suggestion:
1. is feasible?
2. has already been investigated?
